Exhibition opening: “Architetture e Paesaggi d'acqua. Strumenti retorici, immagine costruita”
A large painting realised by famous artist, designer and scenographer Marcello Nizzoli in the 1930s, describes, in the form of a map, the land reclamation of Emilia Romagna landscape.
Starting from this 20 sq.m. wide artwork, the exhibition traces a map of all the interventions carried out in the early1900s by Consorzio di Bonifica, which have completely made-up the current landscape of the Po valley, from the province of Reggio to the Lombard province of Mantua. A collection of photographs and fact sheets prepared by the Consorzio between 2010 and 2011 for the census of its architectural and environmental heritage.
